Contractor Opportunities A Time to Build has regular opportunities for
local contractors. If you have a legal, insured business serving the
commercial, residential or industrial repair and improvement markets in the
Ark-La-Tex, let us know who you are. At this time, A Time to Build
subcontracts most work not classified as "handyman" level activity.

If you sell a service in the Ark-La-Tex, fill out this form and let us
give you a call. The benefits for you include more business (money!),
the main benefit for us is a more complete line of services we offer our
customer. Take a moment to fill out the fields below. If there
is anything you are not sure about, leave it blank, and we will discuss it
later.
Subcontractors* who work with us are required to
have:
- Current liability insurance.
Limits should be at least
$500,000- preference given to companies carrying limits of $1 million or more. A certificate from your insurance company is required to
be on file with us before any contracts will be paid.
- Workman's compensation insurance (if applicable).
Any
companies whose employee's will be performing the actual work will need
to have their insurance send us a certificate of Worker's comp coverage;
again, before contracts are paid.
Companies whose owners will be performing the labor are exempt from this
requirement, as provided by law.
- References or visible proof of the quality of your work.
This
requirement is fulfilled differently for different industries, but the
point is- We uphold high standards of quality, and our associates are
expected to, as well. This is not simply rhetoric with us.

- The willingness to negotiate a reasonably discounted price.
The point here is: if you are charging A Time to Build the "yellow page"
price for your services, we have to overprice the service to make money.
This results in lost business and no money for you or us.
Reasonable discounts vary depending on the circumstances, i.e. whether
we are doing the billing, measuring, product acquisition, etc. If
your business model is such that you do not want to let any business
slip through your fingers, then this is a perfect relationship for both
of us.
*Subcontractors for the purposes of this page are defined as :
contractors receiving payment directly from A Time to
Build
OR
contractors who operate simply on
a referral basis as long as A Time to Build was the company to whom the
customer made the initial connection.
